Library expansion under way

7/10/2002

Crews work on the $6 million expansion and renovation of the Wood County Public Library in Bowling Green, a project expected to be completed next year.

The work, funded by a 25-year bond issue, includes adding parking, making the outdoor courtyard into an indoor reading lounge, replacing the building's flat roof with a pitched roof, and making elevators and restrooms handicapped-accessible.

The library district encompasses an area from Northwood to Hoytville excluding Perrysburg, Rossford, Pemberville, and North Baltimore, which fund their own libraries.
