The University of Toledo announced yesterday it has acquired the services of Moody Nolan, Inc., a Columbus architecture and engineering firm, to conduct a feasibility study for the renovation of Savage Hall.

The completed study is expected by late February.

"We are very pleased to be working with a firm like Moody Nolan," UT athletic director Mike O'Brien said. "Their experience in the field of facility design is very impressive. We are confident that they will provide us with a thorough evaluation of Savage Hall and a recommendation for its future."

Curtis J. Moody, president and CEO of Moody Nolan, said his firm is eager to begin.

"We had evaluated Savage Hall prior to our first interview, and we felt it was a great opportunity to do something unique at the University of Toledo," said Moody. "Our goal is to identify a unique approach to improving the facility."

Moody Nolan has worked on more than 80 college campuses throughout the country. The firm has designed numerous facilities on Ohio campuses, including Ohio State, Akron, Cincinnati and Kent State. Its most recent high-profile project was the 21,000-seat Schottenstein Center at OSU.
