5 join children services board

Five new members of the Lucas County Children Services Board of Trustees recently began three-year terms.

They include:

  • Linda Carr, director of institutional initiatives at the University of Toledo.

  • Theresa Cluse-Tolar, chairman of the social work department at UT.

  • Elizabeth Flournoy, program director of managed care advocacy for Toledo Metropolitan Ministries.

  • Ken Roach, business representative of Local 8, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

  • Patty Etue-Stephens, a mental health and substance abuse therapist and clinician who is a guidance counselor in Washington Local schools.

    All except Mr. Roach attended their first board meeting this week.

    His first meeting was last month. They were appointed by the Lucas County commissioners.

    They replace Patricia Frechette, Patricia Poole-Holmberg, Ed Ciecka, John Coleman, and Sheila Austin, whose terms expired.
