Two people were hurt yesterday when a minivan crashed through the front doors of the Goodwill Store in Northwood, authorities said.

Phyllis and Ricky Boyd of Toledo were shopping in the store, 2616 Woodville Rd., about 1:45 p.m. when a Ford Aerostar minivan driven by James Alt, 78, of Canton, Ohio, struck them, Sgt. Doug Hubaker said.

Mrs. Boyd, 43, and Mr. Boyd, 41, were treated at St. Charles Mercy Hospital.

Mr. Alt told police that his accelerator stuck and, as a result, he drove through the glass doors, crashed into many racks of clothes, and stopped when he hit the back wall.

Mr. Alt was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control, Sergeant Hubaker said.
