Ypsilanti man hospitalized following crash

PETERSBURG, Mich. - An Ypsilanti, Mich., man was in fair condition last night in Medical College of Ohio Hospitals after an accident on U.S. 23 in western Monroe County's Summerfield Township late Monday night.

Bradley O. Gunder, 39, was driving north on U.S. 23, south of Ida West Road, at a high rate of speed at about 11:45 p.m., according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, when his car struck the rear of a tractor-trailer.

After impact, Mr. Gunder's car ran off the right side of the road and down an embankment, striking several trees before coming to rest in a ditch.

No charges had been filed as of last night by the sheriff's department.

The tractor-trailer was driven by Bryan D. Revell, 26, of Colorado Springs, Colo. With him was Jonas Revell, 8.
