8/7/2004

FOSTORIA - Fostoria officials have been informed that the Federal Aviation Administration has approved a $300,000 grant for improvements at Fostoria Metropolitan Airport.

The money will be used to resurface hangar approach areas, add runway lighting, install an automated weather operating system, and buy snow removal equipment. The city has three years to compete the projects.

David Sniffen, airport operator, said some work could begin this year or early next year.
