LeRoy Malaterre of Lebanon, Ind., prepares his head dress before dancing during the Day of Remembrance and Healing last week at Sidecut Metropark in Maumee. The annual event celebrates the clothing and culture of Native Americans. The activity, called a Pow Wow, was sponsored by the American Indian Intertribal Association.
