Two people were hurt yesterday when their motorcycle was struck by a sport utility vehicle at State Rt. 199 and Scheider Road in Perrysburg Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The motorcycle's driver, Michael Boyd, 33, of Perrysburg, was taken by helicopter to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, where his condition was not available last night.

His 6-year-old daughter, Brianna, a passenger, was taken by ground ambulance to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Her condition was not available either.

The Boyds were northbound on Route 199 about 6:05 p.m. The SUV, driven by William Meek, 35, of Perrysburg, was eastbound on Scheider and had stopped for a stop sign. It then pulled out and struck the motorcycle, troopers at the patrol's Walbridge post said.

Mr. Meek was charged with failure to yield for a stop sign, troopers said.
