Wood County seniors prefer Main Street site

BOWLING GREEN - Wood County senior citizens want city officials to know they like their home on North Main Street and would hate to see it razed for a new city hall.

Jean Smith, executive director of the Wood County Committee on Aging, spoke yesterday to the committee studying sites for a proposed city building. The senior center is housed in the former post office, which is next to city hall and owned by the city.

Bob Kreienkamp, co-chairman of the committee, said one option the panel has looked at is razing the current city hall and the senior center to accommodate a larger city building.
