Findlay hospital project to begin with ceremony

10/12/2004

FINDLAY - Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center plans to break ground tomorrow on its six-story hospital.

The project is the main part of a $95 million renovation under way at the Findlay campus. The new hospital, to be completed late in 2006, will include 152 private patient rooms, a chapel, gift shop, lobby, and meeting rooms.

So far, the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation has received commitments of $8.6 million toward its goal of raising $12.5 million in private donations. The building will be named after Thomas B. and Kathleen M. Donnell, who donated $3 million for the project.

Tomorrow's ground-breaking, which is open to the public, begins at 1 p.m. at the hospital entrance on West Wallace Street.
