BOWLING GREEN

  • Volunteers are needed to help with seed cleaning at the Agricultural Incubator on State Rt. 582 west of State Rt. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Contact the Wood County Park District to register.

    FINDLAY

  • The Hancock Park District will hold a night ski event on Saturday. Depart from the Racoon Run Winter Sports Center at Riverbend Recreation Area at 7 p.m. and return about 9 p.m. Participants should pre-register by Friday with the park district.

    LIMA

  • The Rev. Robert B. Jones, a performer and teacher of traditional and original blues, spiritual, and folk music, will present a musical chronology of the blues during a free program at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Allen County Museum on West Market Street. Mr. Jones will be in Lima for five days working with students at South Middle School and St. Gerard School.

    PERRYSBURG

  • Oscar Night is at 7 p.m. today at Perrysburg High School, 13385 Roachton Rd. Students of the multimedia with computers class will showcase their talents. Oscar look-alike trophies will be given to the best in each category, along with best actress, actor, video, and most creative project.

  • The Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society will host Andrew Schneider, an archaeologist and instructor in world prehistory at the University of Toledo, during its meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Fort Meigs Visitor Center, 29100 West River Road. His topic will be "Cultural Resource Management in the Maumee Valley: Excavations at the Late Woodland Singer Site in Defiance County."

    TOLEDO

  • The Rotary Club of Toledo will hold its weekly meeting at noon today at the Zenobia Shrine, 1511 Madison Ave. Bob Savage will speak on the Core Network.

  • The Zonta Club of Toledo will celebrate Amelia Earhart Day at noon on Wednesday at The Toledo Club, 235 14th St. Capt. Becky Ohm, a pilot for the Ohio Air National Guard, and Lt. Col. Carole Allan, 180th Fighter Wing executive officer, will be present.

  • Notre Dame Academy will present an informational presentation for potential students and their parents at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the academy's Alumnae Hall. Packets, applications, and tours will be available, in addition to discussion of the academy's extracurricular activities, clubs, and its admission process.

  • William Carroll, director of economic development for Toledo, is the guest speaker at the Wednesday luncheon meeting of River East Associates at VFW Post 2510, 617 Second St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is $9.50.

  • A community discussion on planning for growth and development will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments, 300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive. The event is open to the public.
