Woman hurt in Hillsdale collision
3/15/2005HILLSDALE - A California woman was injured when her sport utility vehicle collided with a wrecker on Camden Road in Hillsdale County yesterday, authorities said.
Nicholina Erickson, 25, of Santa Maria, Calif., was taken to Hillsdale Community Health Center and later flown to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
Her condition was not available last night.
Ms. Erickson was driving a Ford Explorer westbound on Camden Road about 12:33 p.m. When she crossed South Hillsdale Road, she was struck by a southbound wrecker driven by Benjamin Gilbert, 50, of Camden, Mich.
A passenger in the wrecker, Scott Maull, 35, of Camden, sought his own treatment for injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office.
