Ohio EPA sets hearing for Sandusky breakwater job

SANDUSKY - The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will conduct a public hearing this month in Sandusky about plans to install breakwaters and repair 225 feet of stone revetment along Cedar Point Road.

The hearing will be at 7 p.m. April 19 in the Sandusky High School cafeteria, 2130 Hayes Ave.

EPA officials will accept comments on water-quality issues related to the project.

The project involves 401, 337, and 333 Cedar Point Rd. At each location, 75 feet of revetment would be rehabilitated, and a 65-foot-long detached breakwall would be built.

The EPA will accept written comments through April 26 at the Division of Surface Water, Permits Processing Unit, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049.
