A 12-year-old Sylvania boy was discharged from the hospital yesterday after he was struck by a car while running from the Sylvania Tam O Shanter Sports parking lot across Vicksburg Drive Friday evening, a police report stated.

William Henry Crown of 5745 Eagle Trace Dr. was taken by Life Flight to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after the accident, which occurred at 7:37 p.m.

Sylvania Police said a 2000 Hyundai, driven by Alexander Palmer, 19, of 5824 Settlers Ridge Circle, was traveling south in the 4000 block of Vicksburg. The vehicle struck the Crown youth with the front bumper while he was running east from Tam O Shanter into the path of the car, police said.
