SENIOR

ACTIVITIES CENTER

Navarre Park shelter house

Activities include Bingo, fitness, ceramics, painting, computer classes, line-dancing, volleyball and shuffleboard, shopping trips, sewing and crafts, movie days, and various theme parties.

Daily lunch program; reservations due by 11 a.m. the day before.

Mondays: ceramic class at 9:30 a.m. at $2 per class. Take your own greenware; paints provided.

Tuesdays: free knitting and crocheting class at 9:30 a.m.

First Wednesday: blood pressure screenings at 11:15 a.m.

Second Wednesday: craft class from 6:30 to 8 p.m., $5 per class. Schedule, register: 419-691-1429, ext. 111.

Outreach services: seniors who need help to fill out insurance or other forms, or who need house keeping or snow removal services, please call Joyce at the center, 419-691-2254.

Senior legal representative available each month at the center; appointments required. Lifelong learning classes and special programs available.

Volunteers with cars needed to deliver noon meals to homebound individuals in the area, day or more per week.

Computer classes, ages 55 and older through Computer Sight, a program using adaptive equipment such as large-screen monitors and magnifiers. Courses are for first-time users and those needing word processing, e-mail, and beginning spreadsheet instruction. Each four-hour course is $60.
