Walbridge to offer land to U.K.-based company
10/20/2005Walbridge Village Council took action Tuesday night to offer land to a company based in the United Kingdom for future economic development.
Council unanimously approved an ordinance at its regularly scheduled meeting to offer land west of East Broadway and north of Walbridge Road in Lake Township to ZincOx Resources Plc.
The village has the option to buy up to 48 acres from the township, and would sell it at the same price $15,000 an acre to ZincOx.
The company is considering building a plant to recycle ash waste, and is looking at several other local sites. ZincOx has 180 days to decide whether to buy the land.
