  • Veterinarians Greg Edwards and Doug Burgei work with Todd Fedderke, from left above, to unload 60 dogs and 33 cats, survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, bound for Pampered Pets Bed & Breakfast in Napoleon.

Tabitha Bergstedt and Karen Warncke, from left at right, watched as a plane carrying the animals lands at the Henry County Airport yesterday. Gretchen Meienburg, the Henry County regional director of the American Boarding Kennel Association, escorted the flight from Dothan, Ala. Many of the animals may be adopted at no charge by contacting Pampered Pets.
