Perrysburg alters contract for street work

11/16/2005

Perrysburg City Council last night agreed to modify a contract for reconfiguring the intersection of Findlay Street with Cherry Street and Indiana Avenue.

Council voted 5-1 to amend a $372,000 contract with Anderzack-Pitzen Construction, of Metamora, Ohio, awarded in late October and to make changes in the Cherry Street sewer separation project the company is doing.

Councilman Kevin Rantanen cast the no vote. He expressed concerns about the cost and the delay on the sewer separation project.

Last night's vote extends the deadline for the intersection project from the end of December to the end of June. The deadline for the sewer separation project, originally the end of October, was extended to Dec. 30.
