LIMA, Ohio The State Controlling Board agreed yesterday to provide $200,000 to Lima for road projects related to an ethanol plant being built near the city.

The Roadwork Development funds are in addition to $250,000 previously approved by the Controlling Board. According to a release from Gov. Bob Taft s office, the extra money was requested because of increased material and gas costs and a stoplight that was not included in estimates by the original project engineers.

The roadwork for the Greater Ohio Ethanol facility includes widening 1,500 lineal feet of Hanthorn Road and building an additional public road of 1,400 lineal feet, Houx Parkway. The $80 million ethanol plant is expected to create 35 jobs.
