Bellevue council fills vacant Third Ward seat

BELLEVUE, Ohio City council Tuesday night appointed Catherine Schaffer to fill the vacant Third Ward council seat.

Ms. Schaffer was selected over two other applicants for the nonpartisan appointment.

She replaces Independent Kathy Laparo, who resigned last month because of a conflict with her employment with the Huron County Health Department.
