REPUBLIC, Ohio A 33-year-old Sandusky County man was pronounced dead after a one-vehicle crash Saturday evening in northeastern Seneca County.

Marvin T. Lewis of rural Clyde was driving a pickup that was so badly damaged in the crash that rescue workers used mechanical means to remove him. He was northbound on Seneca County Road 21, less than a half mile north of Adams Township Road 138, at about 8:45 p.m. when the pickup went off the right side of the road, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol s Fremont post.

Mr. Lewis overcorrected, according to the patrol, and the pickup went off the left side of the road, striking a ditch, and then went airborne, striking a utility pole with its roof.
