COLUMBIANA, Ohio A Toledo teenager was killed Sunday when a minivan and a pickup collided on State Rt. 11 in Columbiana County near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Sam Macke, 17, of 3242 Maple St., a back-seat passenger in the minivan, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

His sister, Allison Macke, 19, who was driving the minivan, and two other passengers, Sarah Kinner, 17, and Zachary Doran, 19, were in serious condition last night in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, authorities said.

Ms. Macke was northbound on Route 11 about 4:50 p.m., en route from Steubenville, Ohio, to Toledo, when the minivan was hit from behind by a pickup truck driven by Christopher Morris, 30, of Conneaut, Ohio. The minivan went off the road and rolled onto its roof, troopers said.

Mr. Morris, who was treated at a hospital, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to maintain an assured clear distance, troopers said.
