Computer upgrades planned for libraries

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library system will get software upgrades and new computers in the next month, but the upgrading process will take public-access computers offline for at least one day.

The upgrades are being made with a $75,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Computers will not be available the following days at the following branches:

  • Today, Main Library.

  • July 31, Birmingham Branch.

  • Aug. 7, Oregon Branch.

  • Aug. 8, Heatherdowns and Toledo Heights branches.

  • Aug. 9, Holland and Maumee branches.

  • Aug. 10, Kent and West Toledo branches.

  • Aug. 14, Sylvania and Lagrange branches.

  • Aug. 15, Mott and Reynolds Corners branches.

  • Aug. 16, Sanger Branch.

  • Aug. 17, South and Locke branches.

  • Aug. 21, Point Place and Washington branches.

  • Aug. 22, Waterville Branch.
