Carroll Twp. police target unauthorized vehicles

7/31/2006

The Carroll Township Police Department in Oak Harbor will issue citations starting today for any unauthorized vehicles such golf carts, four-wheelers, and dirt bikes that are traveling on local roadways.

Police began handing out written warnings last weekend, but a zero-tolerance policy starts today.

The recent enforcement began because of an increased volume of complaints and accidents relating to unauthorized vehicles on the roadway.

Township officers are working with Ottawa County sheriff s deputies, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
