Collision near Fremont leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

FREMONT A Fremont woman was killed on Friday after a car in which she was a passenger was hit by a car on Sandusky County Road 41 at State Rt. 590 in Jackson Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Helen Audritsh, 75, was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where she died at 4:55 p.m., troopers said.

The driver of the car in which she was riding and the driver of the other car also were injured, troopers said.

Ms. Audritsh was in a car being driven south on Route 590 about 2:30 p.m. by Lisa Hazzard, 49, of Fremont, when it was hit by a car being driven east on Road 41 by Ashley Bork, 23, of Fremont, who failed to yield at a stop sign, troopers said.

Ms. Bork was treated at Fremont Memorial Hospital, state troopers said.

Ms. Hazzard and another passenger, Tamara Morris, 49, of St. Petersburg, Fla., were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where Ms. Morris was listed in serious condition yesterday and Ms. Hazzard in fair condition.
