Waterville officials select solicitor, council clerk

Waterville officials have appointed Philip Dombey as the village solicitor and Melissa Garrett as the clerk of council, effective Dec. 1.

Mr. Dombey currently serves the villages of Holland and Haskins in a similar capacity and is a former solicitor for Perrysburg Township.

He also campaigned for a seat on the bench in Wood County Common Pleas Court in 2000, losing to Judge Reeve Kelsey.

Mr. Dombey will be paid an hourly rate of $130 for his consultation, while Ms. Garrett will be paid $3,400 annually.
