Godsey, professor of law and faculty director of the Lois and Richard Rothensal Institute for Justice/Ohio Innocence Project at the University of Cincinnati, will discuss Issues in Wrongful Convictions at 11 a.m. today at Ohio Northern University s moot court room in the Pettit College of Law. Sponsored by the Criminal Law Society, the event is free and open to the public.

The 3rd District Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments in a criminal case and a civil case at 10 a.m. tomorrow at ONU s moot court room in the Pettit College of Law. At the conclusion of the cases, the three-judge panel will take questions from the audience.

Doug Toering, a business litigator and founding partner of Grassi & Toering, PLC in Troy, Mich., will speak on Legal Aid or Billable Hours: How is a Young Associate to Decide at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at ONU s moot court room in the Pettit College of Law. Sponsored by the Christian Legal Society, the event is free and open to the public.
BLUFFTON
Four speakers will be at Bluffton University this week to share their experiences in Iraq and knowledge about the war. Toledo anti-war activist Mike Ferner and Robert Alt, a fellow in legal and international affairs at Ashland University, will speak at 7 p.m. today in Yoder Recital Hall. At 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sam Park, a Bluffton graduate who served one year in Iraq, will speak in Stutzman Lecture Hall. Art Gish, a member of Christian Peacemaker Teams who recently spent time in Iraq, will speak at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Stutzman Lecture Hall.

Wallace J. Gingerich, associate dean and professor of social work at Case Western Reserve University, will speak on Co-creating a Climate for Transformative Change at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Bluffton University s Founders Hall. His lecture, which is free and open to the public, is part of Bluffton s annual Carl Smucker Distinguished Lecture Series.

Lima City Schools Superintendent Karel Oxley will speak about the rewards of teaching in an urban school environment at 7 p.m. tomorrow in Stutzman Lecture Hall at Bluffton University. The event is free and open to the public.

Bluffton University will host its annual Community Enrichment Day, a special visitation day for high school students of color, on Wednesday. The day will include a campus tour, information on admissions and financial aid, and a panel discussion made up of professional people of color. Horizon Youth Theatre will hold auditions for Little Women: The Early Years from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Wood County District Public Library. The cast includes roles for eight women and five men between the ages of 8 and 18. The play will be staged at the Pemberville Opera House April 27-29.•

Tran Le Hoa Tranh, a scholar-in-residence from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Ho Chi Minh City, will speak on Vietnamese Culture and Her Destiny in Globalization Era at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in Pfeiffer Lecture Hall as part of the University of Findlay s Vietnam on Campus series.
