Accident near Dundee cuts power for 1,700

DUNDEE, Mich. - About 1,700 Detroit Edison customers lost electrical power last night after a crash on southbound U.S. 23 near the Dundee interchange.

The crash and power outages were reported about 5:25 p.m., according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. A Detroit Edison spokesman said electrical service was expected to be restored by midnight.

No further information about the crash was available at press time.
