The Best Damn Radio Show on the Planet

6/27/2007

OK, I know I said yesterday no more links. But I'm going to make an exception. You'll be glad I did when you check out my latest obsession: Radio Lab.

If you've never caught this on public radio -- Michigan Public Radio WUOM 91.7 airs it as "The Summer Documentary Series" every Tuesday at 9 p.m. -- go immediately to the Radio Lab website and listen there. The program, hosted by

Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich, is so worth your time. In fact, whatever your doing now is not worth as much as listening to Radio Lab -- and I say this with perfect confidence, because I know what you're doing now is reading my blog.

Radio Lab features smart, fun broadcasts on everything from sleep, to zoos (including a mention of the Toledo Zoo's carcas feeding), to space.

These guys can make anything interesting. And funny. They're often very funny.

I downloaded as many of the shows as my little MP-3 player will hold, and listen to them whenever I can. This is what science reporting should be like, so absorbing you might think of it as, ahem, entertainment.

So don't delay. This show is the best.

So, why isn't it on WGTE?
