Felonious assault

Kory Hoffman, Lewis, victim and friends were playing volleyball when approached by yelling suspect and words were exchanged in the 2300 block of West Dean. Suspect went to vehicle, pulled out an axe, and went toward the volleyball court when intercepted about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 31. Suspect arrested.

Burglaries

Michael Common, 6500 block of Black Diamond, two large-screen plasma TVs, TV, two custom-built computers with hard drives, laptop computer, and safe containing jewelry, savings bonds, coin collection, deed, and other paperwork. Total loss about $90,000.

Timothy Stewart, 6500 block of Secor, residence ransacked, no items taken.

Robbery

Scott Gorsuch, Raab, Swanton, victim in vehicle sitting at traffic light on Centennial and Central, when first suspect jumped through right side passenger door window and shoved transmission into park. Second suspect approached at the same time and reached into driver s side window and grabbed victim, holding him back. Then both suspects lifted victim, throwing him to the back seat, then punched him several times. Both suspects then got into vehicle and drove off with victim, taking him to a home and locking him in a room for hours, about 12:25 a.m. Aug. 29. Suspects eventually dropped victim off at a downtown location.

Felonious assault

Patricia King, Vance, Toledo, victim and suspect were arguing when suspect pulled a knife and attempted to stab victim in the 5100 block of Harroun. A witness stepped in to stop the situation about1 p.m. Aug. 29. Suspect was arrested.
