Lucas County's job placement center found more jobs for the county's residents than any other one-stop center in Ohio for the third consecutive year, according to the Lucas County commissioners.

The Source, which is Lucas County's one-stop job center, helped 3,050 people find employment for the 2007 fiscal year, the commissioners said.

The next-closest county was Hamilton, which found 1,446 jobs for its residents during that time frame.

The commissioners said The Source has helped more than 8,000 people find employment in the last three years.

Located at 1301 Monroe St., The Source provides job training, accepts resumes, and offers on-site classroom instruction through a partnership with Owens Community College.
