16-year-old driver critically hurt in crash

SANDUSKY, Ohio Two drivers were hurt, one seriously, when a car and a sport-utility vehicle collided Wednesday night at State Rt. 101 and State Rt. 2 near this Erie County community, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Kayla Cyr, 16, the car s driver, was in critical condition Wednesday morning at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, a hospital spokesman said.

Judy Finley, 62 of Castalia, Ohio, the driver of the SUV, was treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, a nursing supervisor at the hospital said.

The Cyr girl was southbound on Route 101 about 6:30 p.m. and started to turn left on to Route 2, when her car was struck by the Finley SUV, which was northbound on 101, troopers said.
