200 Republicans needed to work Lucas County polls

2/21/2008

The Lucas County Board of Elections needs 200 registered Republican voters to sign up as poll workers for the March 4 primary election, officials said.

Applicants must take a training class and be willing to work wherever in the county they are assigned. They are paid $15 for training and $100 for Election Day.

Poll workers are required to be at their assigned polling place at 6 p.m. March 3 for about an hour. On Election Day, they work from 6 a.m. until about an hour after polls close.

Those interested may call the board of elections.
