Lucas County libraries offer summer reading program

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library s annual summer reading club started yesterday.

The club encourages children to read by offering rewards, such as gift cards to Barnes & Noble, the Toledo Zoo, and Toledo Mud Hens games. Drawings will be held for teenagers and adults to win prizes as well.

Youths can get free bus rides to the library of their choice by showing their Summer Reading Club record or membership tag.
