Reunion set for all who served on U.S.S. Boston

1/19/2009

A reunion of all surviving officers, crew, Marines, and flag personnel who have served aboard U.S. vessels named U.S.S. Boston is being organized for early July in Cleveland.

The Boston name originates with a Revolutionary War ship in the Continental Navy and proceeds through a line of six other vessels, most recently a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack submarine that was decommissioned in 1999.

Those interested in receiving more information about or participating in the reunion, scheduled for July 9-12, should contact U.S.S. Boston Shipmates Inc., c/o Arthur L. Hebert, Secretary, P.O. Box 816, Amherst, NH 03031-0816; by telephone at 603-672-8772, or by going to the ussboston.org Web site.
