TAAC: Rangers crush Green Bears

Northwood ran for 285 yards, led by Zach Bermejo's 125 yards and two touchdowns, and the visiting Rangers (6-2, 4-0) routed Ottawa Hills (2-6, 0-4).

The Rangers led 24-0 in the second quarter before the Green Bears scored on Will Longthorne's 2-yard run. Longthorne later added a 47-yard run in the third quarter and finished with 99 yards on 24 carries.

Jake Pressley scored on a 30-yard interception return for Northwood. John Romstadt posted the Rangers' first TD on a 25-yard run. Mike Prothero, Tyler Mock and Jordan Schell also registered rushing TDs. Matt Spetka and Zach Wielinski scored on passes from Jon Rodriguez and Erik Russell, respectively.

Nick Rightnowar completed all 12 of his pass attempts and six went for touchdowns as Toledo Christian (6-2, 4-0) rolled on the road.

Rightnowar totaled 336 yards, connecting for scores with Sam Ivan (20, 21), David Westmeyer (12, 65, 56), and Zach Brumbaugh (26). Brumbaugh also caught a TD pass of 29 yards from Ben Ivan.

Westmeyer caught seven passes for 211 yards, and Brumbaugh finished with 118 yards on four receptions.

For Danbury (1-6, 0-5) Cody German rushed for 99 yards on 13 attempts.

Edon's Shannon Greene scored two touchdowns and rushed for 278 yards as the Bombers (5-3, 3-1) topped Cardinal Stritch (4-4, 2-2).

With four seconds left on the clock and the ball on the 6-yard line, Edon turned back a Stritch attempt to tie when a pass from Mike Blazevich to Nick Fuller went incomplete.

The Cardinals' Fuller scored on runs of 69 and 65.

Zach Hall scored Edon's two other TDs on a 15-yard pass play and an 11-yard run.

MONTPELIER — Quinton Nofziger scored two touchdowns to lead Hilltop (4-4).

Nofziger scored on a five-yard run and on an interception return. Brandon Semer added a 40-yard TD run.

For Montpelier (1-7), Keagen Hartsock hooked up with Logan McKelvey for a 54-yard TD pass.
