An early morning crash on the Ohio Turnpike near I-280 left westbound lanes of the interstate partially blocked for about seven hours today, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
There were no serious injuries, according to the patrol.
A stopped tractor-trailer rig being assisted by a utility truck on the side of the Interstate was clipped by a passing UPS freight truck about 2:05 a.m. between mile markers 70 and 71, a patrol dispatcher said.
The crash caused packages from the delivery truck to scatter and cover most of westbound I-280, causing traffic to be closed down to a single lane.
Traffic on the turnpike returned to normal about 9:30 a.m., according to the patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
