The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Toledo, Perrysburg, Rossford, Northwood, Oregon, Genoa, and Woodville.
The warning, in effect until 5:30 a.m., is for eastern Lucas County, western Ottawa County, northwestern Sandusky County, and northeastern Wood County.
At 4:19 a.m., National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. The storm was near Holland and moving southeast at 10 mph.
The weather service called the storm dangerous and urged residents to seek shelter and stay away from windows.
