Created in 1990, Tent City is in the heart of downtown, miles from the theater in the southwest part of the city where Mr. Mellencamp performed Friday night and in 2007.

    Participants marched together during the 27th annual “Candlelight Walk for a Drug-Free Community," Monday, October 17, 2016 at Whitmer Memorial Stadium in North Toledo. More than 1,000 students and their families participated in the event, which included recognition for an essay contest, raffle drawings and a short walk around Whitmer High School.
