Maya Ramirez, of Maumee and a ninth grader at the Toledo School for the Arts, was crowned winner of the first season of Project Runway: Junior. Maya and her family were among the roughly 200 in attendance at the final watch party at Pizza Papalis in downtown Toledo Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.

The Genoa girls basketball team won Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Rossford 75-44 to clinch an outright Northern Buckeye Conference title. It is the first girls league basketball crown for the Comets since winning one in the former Suburban Lakes League in 2008, and it is the first NBC championship for Genoa in any girls sport.
