Row 4: Head coach Bryan Dudash, coaches Tim Heffernan, Jeff Lewis, Gene Peluso

Coach: Bryan Dudash, second year

Last season: 2-8, 1-6 TAAC

Returning letter winners: 11

Returning starters: Offense 8, defense 7

Schemes: Spread-run/4-3

Top players: Seniors Cody German, 6-0, 192, TB-CB; Cooper Eller, 5-11, 218, OG-DE; Jim Chamberlin, 5-11, 172, SE-FS. Junior Taylon Molnar, 6-0, 215, FB-LB. Freshman Seth Vargo, 6-1, 189, QB-LB.

Outlook: The Lakers have bumped their roster number up six players to 27, and will build around good depth on both lines.

Dudash is also confident with the play-making ability of his skill personnel, although there is little depth at those positions. Chamberlin is the top returnee in that group, having caught 25 passes for 523 yards.

“We’re hoping to keep improving,” Dudash said. “We’re just tired of saying how we want to bring the numbers up. We want to start winning.”
