Harbor adds mid-cap, small-cap growth funds

Harbor Fund, the mutual fund family owned by Toledo's Owens-Illlinois, Inc., announced yesterday it has added mid-cap and small-cap growth funds to its nine no-load funds.

The mid-cap fund will invest in about 75 companies with market capitalization of $1 billion to $10 billion and will be managed by William Jeffrey, Kenneth McCain, and David Baratta, of Wall Street Associates, La Jolla, Calif.

The Harbor small-cap growth fund will invest in 35 to 45 companies with market capitalization of about $100 million to $1.5 billion. It will be managed by William Muggia, senior vice president and member of the board of Westfield Capital Management Co. of Boston.
