6/30/2001

A Toledo man was sentenced to 10 years in prison yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for his role in an attempted robbery at a Burger King restaurant.

Raishaun Williams, 18, of 837 Broer Ave., was sentenced by Judge Ronald Bowman to five years for each of two counts of aggravated robbery and three years for felonious assault. The judge ordered that one of the aggravated robbery counts and the felonious assault conviction be served concurrently, but in addition to the other aggravated robbery count.

Police said Williams entered the Burger King at 1441 Secor Rd. at 9 p.m. Jan. 24 and asked for money. They said Williams hit the manager in the jaw with a gun, then fled with no money when police arrived.
