La-Z-Boy to reorganize into 2 production groups

MONROE - La-Z-Boy, Inc., announced yesterday that it is dividing into two groups, upholstery and case goods, effective immediately.

The Upholstery Group, which accounts for 67 percent of La-Z-Boy's sale, will be headed by John J. Case, president of La-Z-Boy Residential since 1999.

The case goods - dining room sets, hutches, and tables, which make up 24 percent of sales, will be headed by Don Mitchell, president of a similar group of Ladd Furniture, Inc., since 1996.
