Bryan man pleads guilty in shooting of girlfriend

William Roberts, 40, pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder with a gun specification and having weapons while under disability.

Judge Anthony Gretick found him guilty on the charges and scheduled sentencing for Aug. 27.

Authorities said he shot Connie Olmstead, 55, in their mobile home. She since has been released from a hospital, but she lost her left eye in the attack.
