1/9/2003

ADRIAN — An Adrian man was ordered to serve up to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to an assault charge for throwing a brick through a car window during an argument and hitting his girlfriend in the head.

John Robert Rosalez, 19, was ordered to serve 3 to 10 years in prison for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and an additional concurrent term of 5 to 15 years for violating probation on a prior felony conviction of unarmed robbery. Lenawee Circuit Judge Timothy Pickard gave Rosalez credit for 148 days served on the assault conviction and 370 days for the unarmed robbery, which occurred at a convenience store in Madison Township in 2001.

His girlfriend, Felecia Glambin, 18, suffered what was described as a significant head injury and was treated in the University of Michigan Hospital following the July 29 incident.
