Consolidation of electronic parts operations in Perrysburg and the purchase of a new building in Van Wert were among the projects approved yesterday by the state Controlling Board.
The board awarded a $400,000 grant to New Delafoil Ohio, Inc., to purchase equipment as the company consolidates operations from a Pottstown, Pa., plant it is closing. The project on Progress Drive is to create 44 jobs and retain 160, the state said. The firm makes components for the TV tube and consumer electronics industry.
Teem Wholesale, Inc., in Van Wert is to receive a $700,000 loan to buy a 100,000-square-foot building that the company has leased since a tornado in November destroyed its inventory and equipment. The $1.1 million project is expected to create 25 jobs and retain 20. The business makes wood doors, stairways, and railings.
