City kicks off reading program
6/26/2003The second season of the City of Toledo summer reading program, sponsored by the city's Youth Commission, has begun at five city parks.
The free program for children ages 5 to 12, takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays through July 31 at Gunckel Park, 740 Collingwood Blvd.; Jamie Farr Park, 2140 Summit St.; the Rev. H.V. Savage Park, Vance Street and City Park Avenue; Smith Park, 910 Dorr St.; and Walbridge Park, 2801 Broadway.
Children who take part in the reading program will receive a snack during the day.
