Sandusky man sentenced for workers comp fraud

SANDUSKY A Sandusky man has been sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay restitution for workers compensation fraud.

Bradley Horning, who injured his right knee and leg in 1997 while working for CWE Haslage Trucking Inc., was orderd to pay $7,311.73 to the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, the bureau said Thursday. He was awarded temporary total disability benefits by the bureau because of his injuries.

An investigation by the bureau showed that Horning was operating a service that hauled trash and heavy objects to garbage facilities while collecting unemployment benefits.
