Mayor Jack Ford and Councilman Bob McCloskey get a good look at the fire department's new ladder truck. It was unveiled at a news conference yesterday at the fire station at Consaul and Front streets in East Toledo. The $610,000 truck has a 95-foot-long platform and can hold 1,500 gallons of water. The department now has six ladder trucks in its fleet.
